Descriptions & details

This guillotine cigar cutter, designed by Andrea Berti, pays tribute to the founder of Coltellerie Berti, who was a great appreciator of Toscano cigars. Completely handmade, it works perfectly with cigars of different sizes.
Like all of Berti's knives, this tabletop cutter embodies the unique qualities of "Made in Italy": artistry, authenticity, and tradition. The high-quality steel, wood, and ox horn, combined with the talents of Berti's artisans, deliver a unique tool made to last a lifetime.

Length (cm): 17.5 (blade 6)

Cigar cutter use and care:
To cut a cigar, insert the tip of the cigar into one of the holes, press down on the natural ox horn handle, and the stainless steel blade will come down to make a straight, clean cut. It is recommended to clean the cutter with a damp cloth and dry it carefully and immediately after cleaning. It is also very useful to lubricate the point of rotation of the blade with Vaseline oil from time to time.

Handmade in Scarperia (Tuscany), Italy

The artist

Founded in 1895, Coltellerie Berti is a fourth-generation family-owned business, well known for its handcrafted knives' unparalleled quality. At the heart of the company lies the deeply held belief that only methods rooted in and proven effective by tradition can deliver the best results.
The company is located in Scarperia, a charming little village perched on a Tuscan hill north of Florence.

Scarperia has been home to the knife-making industry for more than 600 years. The origin of the ancient, illustrious tradition of iron-working and blade making is lost in the mists of time. Still, the magic of the simple, essential gestures that forge perfect blades and change them into legendary knives is intact, handed down from one generation to the next.
