Product descriptions and images
Your piece from thatsArte.com could be slightly different from the images you view on our site.
thatsArte.com has made every effort to reproduce colors on the site as accurately as possible. However, actual colors may differ from what you see on your computer screen since:
- different screens reproduce colors in slightly different ways
- each piece is hand-painted, and kiln fired. Both physical conditions, such as weather and the artisan's creativity, affect the final result. This is the highly desirable result of handmade items.
Some decoration products are hand finished with an “Antique patina”, which features heavily distressed glazing, very often with evident glaze smudges and splits. This is a valuable characteristic of some regional pieces and a considerable part of their premium value. It cannot be considered a manufacturing defect!
Slight changes in the size or shape of the items are also a result of their being totally handmade, either thrown on a wheel or slip cast. Plates are an exception: they are usually pressed to obtain regular shapes and sizes.
The amount of decoration on a piece is related to its size. The bigger the size, the richer its decoration. Most of thatsArte.com photos are taken from medium-sized pieces.
On occasion, you may notice a slight indentation, design, or glaze variation or perhaps a tiny smudge, a small dimple, a paint spot, or a loose-fitting lid. These variances and imperfections are not considered manufacturing defects. They are evidence of original, handcrafted artwork.
If a product purchased at thatsArte.com is not in line with your expectations, you can return it in unused condition. For more info, please view our Return Policy.
All Dinnerware, Serveware, and Kitchenware at thatsArte.com are 100% food safe, and they meet FDA standards.
Decorative ceramics, tiles and keepsakes are not meant to have contact with food unless otherwise specified.
Acceptance of orders
We validate your order and credit card details you submit to us before your order can be accepted. Our acceptance of your order brings into existence a legally binding agreement between us. Once your order has been accepted, we will dispatch it upon product availability.
At this time, you can place your order online only if the shipping address is in one of the countries we ship to. We do not ship to PO boxes, General Delivery/Poste Restante, and APO/FPO addresses. Please view here our shipping destinations.
Orders to different destinations will be accepted offline. Please contact us to receive our assistance.
Although thatsArte.com has taken great care to ensure that prices are accurate, we cannot confirm the price of an item until you order. Despite our best efforts, a small number of the items in our catalog may be mispriced. If an item’s correct price is higher than our stated price, we will, at our discretion, contact you for instructions before shipping and offer you to cancel your order.
Taxes policies may change over time. You will be responsible for paying any applicable tax in the state, county, or municipality you reside in.
Purchase prices include most of the charges needed to ship from Italy to your shipping address, i.e. safe packaging, shipping charges, Customs duties, VAT, full insurance. The remaining part of these charges are added to your order bill under the title Shipping Charges and/or Local fees and duties if the total order adds up to less than the threshold of the free shipping contemplated by our Shipping Charges policy.
By placing an order, you agree to pay the Shipping Charges set forth on the order form, if any.
Shipping Charges are calculated per order and not per item. If you decide to split your order or revise it, shipping charges will change accordingly.
We accept most major credit cards for transactions in US Dollars, Euro, and British Pounds. You can pay with your credit card directly or use the Paypal payment option. You don’t need to be a PayPal member to use their payment services. You represent and warrant that if you purchase something from us:(a) any credit card information you supply will be true, correct, and complete; (b) you will use your best efforts to ensure that your credit card company honors any charges incurred by you; and (c) you will promptly pay the charges incurred by you at the posted prices, including any applicable charges.

thatsArte.com charges your credit card right away within a few days after you placed your order, according to Italian banks regulations.
