Francesca Niccacci lives in Deruta, where she started her own business in 1975. Her ceramics have won her awards and praises on both sides of the pond. Francesca's work is eclectic, ranging from Renaissance-style portraits to geometrics, from traditional Deruta patterns to bold new collections. Yet, whatever the challenge, she consistently achieves the most striking results driven by indisputable talent, experience, knowledge, and enthusiasm.
Deruta is a small town in Umbria, in the heart of Italy. It has been one of the most vital centers for the production of Italian ceramics since the Renaissance (15th century). Today, Deruta is highly regarded worldwide for the fine quality and beauty of its pottery.
