Animals, people, natural elements are the key characters of the Italian home décor ceramics handmade by Roberto Fugnanesi and Catia Ceccacci, founders of Futuro d’Arte pottery studio.
Constantly inspired by nature Roberto and Catia live and work in Umbria, in the Natural Reservation of Monte Cucco. Their pottery is permeated by a strong, personal sense of humor and love for the animals that crowd his artistic universe and playfully decorate their work.
Each pottery item is entirely handcrafted: the form is wheel thrown and the decorative elements are modeled and applied on the raw form. The little differences between the pictured items and the ones you’ll receive are the unmistakable proof that nothing but the artists’ hands and talents are used in the production process!
Product availability: if not in stock, Futuro d'Arte’s pottery is available in 4/5 weeks.
Product information: Futuro d'Arte ceramics are food safe, in compliance with FDA regulations.

Know more about Futuro d'Arte
Futuro d’Arte is located in Sigillo, Umbria, a small village in the middle of the Natural Reservation of Monte Cucco, between Gubbio and Gualdo Tadino.
It’s a tiny but very active pottery studio, where Roberto Fugnanesi and Catia work side by side surrounded by a beautiful and inspiring landscape.
He started his career as a painter, while working in an Umbrian pottery making company. His talents and his desire to reconnect to the earth convinced him to step change his life. He moved to the country and started experimenting with clay.
Catia was born in Gubbio. She graduated in Art History at the University of Perugia and Siena. She specialized in terracotta Renaissance sculpture and is very fond of Della Robbia work.
That was the beginning of the story… the rest is under your very eyes!
We saw their work in a fair of high Italian craftsmanship and were very impressed with their unique style and apparently endless inspiration. Actually it was difficult to select the ceramics we wanted to add to our Italian pottery webstore as Roberto and Catia keep creating new pieces and theri hands do not seem to know any rest.
If you wish to challenge their creative instinct for unique combinations of nature and clay please do. We’ll be happy to learn how far he can stretch their talents.
