The commissioner, a preservationist, purchased this gorgeous Henry Howard property with the intention of restoring it to its former glory and turning it into her family home. She had a deep passion for Italian ceramics and was seeking custom, hand-painted tiles for her pool fountain wall.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote\"><p>&#8220;As to the pool fountain wall, I want to make sure that the tile design can be enjoyed from a distance of up to 20 feet, meaning the design scale should be large enough to be appreciated from a longer distance, as well as close distance&#8221;.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>This is the spectacular pool fountain we created:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" width=\"400\" height=\"351\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thatsarte.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/HOMEpool.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-4495\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>We collaborated with Ghenos, a most talented Sicilian artist, and recommended a pattern of tritons and shells. Triton, a god of the sea, is a feature of some of the most beautiful Italian fountains, often portrayed with a conch shell, which he blew like a trumpet to calm or raise the waves.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<p>Following the enthusiastic approval of the preliminary sketches, the design was finetuned to account for the water spouts, the curves in the wall, and painstakingly hand-painted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" width=\"800\" height=\"1760\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thatsarte.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/Pool-fountain-new-orleans.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-4499\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.thatsarte.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/Pool-fountain-new-orleans.jpg 800w, https:\/\/www.thatsarte.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/Pool-fountain-new-orleans-465x1024.jpg 465w, https:\/\/www.thatsarte.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/Pool-fountain-new-orleans-768x1690.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.thatsarte.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/Pool-fountain-new-orleans-698x1536.jpg 698w, https:\/\/www.thatsarte.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/Pool-fountain-new-orleans-619x1362.jpg 619w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8230; ecco fatto.
