One of the first Italian ceramic artists to celebrate this meaningful event is Mario Pezzi.<\/p>\n<p>His exhibition features 11 majolica panels that ironically and cleverly describe the vices (and virtues) of our country.<\/p>\n<p>Hard to remain cold to his art and the themes he\u2019s chosen to deal with. The Acrobat promising less taxes and more money is certainly a hot subject for most Italians, but it\u2019s also the timeless character of the comedy of life, wherever it takes place.<\/p>\n<p><!--more-->Mario Pezzi was born in Faenza 80 years ago. While teaching how to make pottery to the students of the Art Institute Ballardini, he has been perfecting his beloved slab construction technique.<\/p>\n<p>Altogether very challenging works, they combine Pezzi\u2019s abilities in pottery making with his inborn taste for pictorial and architectural scenes.
