A splendid dove, symbol of peace. It’s entirely hand shaped, with its thousand feathers modeled one by one by Giacomo’s gifted hands. Its magic, iridescent colors are the result of special painting and firing techniques.
Giacomo Alessi is one of the most admired ceramic artists in Italy. His exhibitions are always very successful and his art pieces are very well appraised.
His work is full of poetry. Myths, wars, legends, human virtues and vices are the vital material of his ceramic Art, with the colors and the vitality of the Sicilian Baroque.
Giacomo says about his work: “I translate tradition into something new. I searched, gathered and re-invented in my own way the Baroque heritage. It makes my fantasy fly until everything becomes movement, human and animal spirit”.
Each piece is unique, therefore please allow for slight changes in the size and the posture of the dove.
