The pattern of this lovely duck dates back to the 18th century.
It’s hand painted by Giacomo Alessi, one of the most admired ceramic artists in Italy. His exhibitions are always very successful and his art pieces are very well appraised.
All his pottery is full of poetry. Myths, wars, legends, human virtues and vices are the vital material of his ceramic Art, with the colors and the vitality of the Sicilian Baroque.
He says about his work: “I translate tradition into something new. I searched, gathered and re-invented in my own way the Baroque heritage. It makes my fantasy fly until everything becomes movement, human and animal spirit”.
Each piece is hand made, therefore please allow for slight changes in the size and the posture of the duck.
Note: price refers to one piece only.
