If you are familiar with Italian Majolica masterpieces, you’ll probably know that most of them were commissioned by noblemen, princes and important families to their favorite artists during the Renaissance, the Golden Age of ceramics. In fact, the most popular artists only worked on commission.

Still today, in Italy we often order tailor made pieces for our special home accents and tableware. Now you can do the same using thatsArte.com Special Order Service.

Since we are based in the heart of Italy, very near the most beautiful ceramic regions, we can personally discuss your ideas with the artists you prefer and come back to you with a proposal. If you like the project, we’ll personally follow up the making of your unique ceramic pieces.

Most of the special orders are free of charge, i.e. having a scallop rim plate with a design normally on a flat rim plate or simple, nice initials in the centre of your place settings.
Sometimes we need to assess the costs with the artists before coming back to you, for example for special sizes, special pieces -not listed in our website – or a coat of arms.
